Grand Tea

January's culture club meeting was a grand tea party held at the Grand America Hotel. It was quite the social event. We all came dressed up in our favorite dress and we each got to pick out one of my grandmother's hats to wear which made us look so classy. Bethy made us each a box of favors that included red lipstick, white gloves, white candies and a lace doilie as well as a classy CD.

This was a blossoming tea that was the centerpiece of our table, the flower starts out as a bud that they put in a glass and fill it with hot water, slowly the flower blossoms into this unique creation.

For my drink I had a coconut almond hot chocolate that was absolutely divine I drank every last drop. For lunch they served us a variety of fun and unique tea sandwiches and delectable scones served with lemon curd, raspberry jam and whipped cream.

For dessert we had the choice of a piece of coconut cake or three french pastries all served with strawberries and whipped cream.

  1. oh Kitch, you would fit in in any decade, Victorian, 20's, 40's, 50's your too darn beautiful and look amazing with red lipstick and in that hat. Please start wearing that shade on your kisser more often, so fun! Love having you as my adventuring buddy. Dont worry about Feb culture club, me and you can have a private wreath making session later and have just as much if not more fun.
